VZ 24 rifle made by Brno in 1937 for a Chinese contract. Features "1937" marking on the receiver in place of Czech lion, as well as Chinese characters stamped into the stock. These are believed to indicate the rifle was assigned to a militia, potentially in southern China, during the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Civil War. Rifle has non-matching bolt and is missing cleaning rod, while barrel has pitting from combat usage in China. Still has crisp two-stage trigger, with the stock having matching serial numbers to the rifle. A very rare rifle (particularly in Australia) that would make the perfect addition to any collection!
