This rifle is very good for its age and still has a 1916 barrel, bore is good will take a .301 gauge (a little loose) will not take a .305 gauge, Head space is still within spec's Numbers are matching to action, barrel, nose cap, and bolt (probably redone at a later date) the rear sight has had its numbers etc struck out! It's stocked in Walnut and the forewood is an early transitional stock which still has the Volley sight swell to the location of the volley sight plate. all in all a very nice early example and still shooting well.
