Classic double rifle in a proven caliber, 470 NE. Original English style straight stock. Deep relief engraving of Elephants on both sides of the receiver. Weighted and balanced perfectly on the hinge as it should be. Comes up fast and points naturally. Triggers are crisp, 3.5 and 4.5Kbs respectively. Weights 10.5 Lbs. Extractors used but not abused. Stock is in very good order, with unique darker wood for a Merkel. Bluing still good with a couple of slight wear marks on the barrel from carrying. Includes 40 once fired brass. Have RCBS dies if required. I am the second owner. This double rifle has killed dozens of big buffalo bulls in the Top End. Have now owner a couple of Merkel and they are a great valve working double rifle that functions and regulates well.
