This is a Swedish bayonet produced for the 6.5x55 Mauser 1896 rifle with rare matching scabbard. It also fits the Swedish M1938 rifle. This bayonet is unusual as it has a matching scabbard. Around 1900 all bayonets were returned to armouries and the scabbards were removed from the bayonets. The bayonets were later reissued but the scabbards were mismatched. I have seen many mismatched bayonet/scabbards but this is the first that was matching.
