Belgian Navy contract Mauser M98 made by FN Herstal Belgium 1951. The rifle has the unique grey parkerized/ enamel finish. These rifles were purpose built for the 30-06 and are not conversions. They are one of the last M98 type Mausers to be put into service. Excellent original condition, very scarce and hard to find like this, most were sporterized or stripped for the action for custom rifle builds. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny, perfect clean bolt face and matching numbers on stock and bolt. Excellent trigger pull. Overall, one of the best versions of the Mauser 98, excellent fit, finish, function and accuracy. More pictures on request. Price includes post.
