Yes you read it correctly, this is an unfired dash 3 686 straight out of my collection.

If you are in the market for a decent revolver you may as well buy the right model.

No need to accept a sub-standard version which includes anything made after the dash four series.

This revolver is made from US billet steel and has the firing pin on the hammer where it is supposed to be. This provides more reliable ignition, rather than the transfer bar used after dash 4.

The earlier models were produced from high quality US made billet steel and were individually all hand finished, with more attention paid to detail such as clearing and fit and finish. They also have better triggers out of the box and do not have the stupid frame lock.

By contrast the later versions from dash six including what is in stock at your local gun shop are made as cheap as possible and as fast as possible, having been slapped together using Mexican made metal injection moulded components.

Any knowledgeable revolver gunsmith will confirm this.

So for the cost of an extra $200 on top of what you will pay for new stock off the shelf, you get to own a brand new high quality model which marks the end of an era for quality and pride of workmanship.

This revolver is not replaceable so be assured it will be extremely well packed when shipped to your nominated dealer.
