This US Savage produced SMLE No4 Mk1 was manufactured for the British Government during WW2 under the lend lease program. The rifle has a British acceptance stamp. It went on the serve in the NZ Army, with NZ stamps. The rifle is in mint condition and has all matching parts. In its entire life it has only ever fired 20 sighting rounds, and is nicely centred. It is if it had just been issued from the armoury. Downsizing my collect, will be sorely missed.
