Carbine is in very good condition for its age. All original finish. Bore is dark but strong rifling. Bluing is worn on edges however multiple proof marks are clearly visible. Some marks to timber, small chip at the top of the pistol grip of the butt. Rifle also possesses original leather sight cover. Circa 1896. Brass disc stamped NSWC in butt. A nice piece for a collector. Regrettable sale.
