Sako L579 Forester in 243 Winchester, fitted with the original factory peep sights. This rifle has never been fitted with a scope.
A very rare find, in almost as new condition apart from a few very minor blemishes on the stock (barely noticeable), and one very minor 2mm scratch near the end of barrel. Metalwork and bluing is otherwise near perfect.
We purchased from the original owners estate, his wife informing she believes this has only fired 26 rounds since new. We were provided with 2 original boxes of Sako ammunition and cases.
Produced 16 November 1976, and in storage since August 1983.
I´ve only test fired 2 rounds since owning, and had the oil finished walnut stock Cambridge wax polished to lift the grain as it had become quite dull having been in storage so many years
Moving overseas, so needs to be sold asap.
