"Optically, these telescopes are identical to the No. 32 series but
physically, they are instantly recognizable as being similar in shape
and size but without the range and deflection mechanisms built into
the tube."
These were used in the experimental stage of the No4(T) until the first No.32 scopes were available.
They have also been known to have been used as Artillery optics.
