New Haven manufactured Winchester Model 94AE chambered in the highly desirable and sought after .357 Magnum (also cycles .38 Specials although not as smoothly as the .357). American made 94AE’s in .357 are seldom seen for sale these days.
This rifle presents in excellent condition; there are a couple of minor dings in the timberwork; typical of a rifle this age, but the metalwork is pristine. I purchased it unfired last year and have since fired exactly 105 rounds (can supply spent casings if buyer would like to reload). Winchester records for the Model 94 go as far as 1991 for serial number 6008296; this rifle would be indicative of a manufacture date of early to mid-1990s.
Atop sits a vintage Leupold M8 2.5x20 Compact scope made in 1987 (denoted by serial number) that was also purchased last year; scope presents in as new condition; the previous owner held onto the scope since new and never mounted or used the scope. With the 2.5x magnification providing a fantastic field of view and the lightweight compactness not impacting the rifle’s natural handling and balance, this scope is the perfect companion to this lever action rifle.
The scope is mounted on Leupold bases and rings and comes with a Leupold neoprene cover; rifle comes based in a Remington gun bag. A regretful sale but a necessary one as the new house won’t pay for itself. I’ll cover the transfer fee on my end, with the buyer to cover the fee on their end. Local buyers will get 40 rounds of Wincheser Super X 125gr JHP and 45 rounds of Hornady 140gr FTX Lever Evolution in 2 MTM ammo containers. Postage is $35 Australia wide but excluding WA; unfortunately my transferring dealer is no longer able to ship to WA. Additional photos available upon request.
