This is a sporter version of the 1895 Russian Contract made by Winchester. The receiver still has the Russian inspector approval mark. This conversion appears to of been done in Finland and has been done very well. The rifle uses the projectile from the 8mm Mauser and the cases from 7.62x54R.
Although a sport version these rifles are extremely rare.
