Sako Vixen in 17 Rem calibre with another Vixen 222 Rem barrel. This is a rifle in near excellent condition. Both barrels still have clean sharp lands with no rust or pitting evidencing little use and lots of care. Stock is basically unmarked. Action bluing is excellent and shows no sign of wear. The 17 Rem barrel bluing is 75% and the 222 Rem barrel is closer to 90%. It's really rare to find a rifle of this age in such good condition.

These Sakos come from a time when rifles were made not mass produced and the Vixen models in particular contributed significantly to Sako reputation for quality accuracy and reliability. This is a rifle to hand on to the next generation. Barrels are from the same model and vintage so totally and easily interchangeable.
