K98 Israeli Converted to 308W / 7.62. Receiver is stamped 243 and 1938 which indicates it was made in Mauser-Werke AG, Werk Berlin-Borsigwalde, Eichborndamm, Germany. Still retains some Waffen marks alongside the star of David on receiver. Bolt handle is the interesting checkered pattern not commonly found, (mostly with early war production). The stories this rifle could tell if it could talk, which is what I love about these collectables!
Very smooth action and in 308W is a great shooter. Tight groups 1-1.5 inch groups at 100m. Has a S&K no drill mount on the front sight with a NC STAR scope. Perfect rifle for those competition shoots where iron sights just don´t work anymore!
