This rifle is a takedown model, comes apart for easy storage\/transport. Models made in the late 1960s like this one feature a dovetail notch for mounting scopes. This rifle numbered 124595 of 150,000 made has been gently refurbished. The wood woodwork has been stripped, steamed and has been re-finished with a traditional English gunstock oil. The metal work is original and presents with a pleasing, brown patina. The rifle is in very good used condition with storage\/handling marks commensurate with its age. The bore is excellent. The clean, crisp action cycles perfectly. An accurate, classic fun rifle to shoot.
