The fit and finish on these rifles is fantastic. All Nazi inspection marks present, matching numbers on all parts of the rifle. Excellent sights on this early model factory U notch and square front blade, very nice and easier to pick up and see in comparison to the v notch arrangement, also a finer aiming point, great sight picture. The sling points in the rear of the stock are also different to the later K98(better in my opinion). The original rear sling swivel is also present. The stock is a nice dark walnut, it does have bruises and dings, but overall good condition, the metal work is very good with high quality finish evident. Bolt face is perfect and clean no pitting. The bore is good, with strong rifling. Also a nice touch for the collector is that the serial no of this particular gun ends in 37 the year of manufacture. Overall, a very sharp example of a sought after and hard to find version for collectors, or expect excellent accuracy if you decide to shoot it.
