{"product_id":"235662","title":"235662","description":"\u003cp\u003eThis rifle is a rare Brno (945 marked) 1940 WWII G 33\/40 mountain. These G33\/40 mountain carbines were a shortened version of the K98 rifle patterned after the Czech 33 carbine. They were manufactured by the BRNO factory in Czechoslovakia from 1940-1942 and were used by the Alpine Mountain troops who required a shortened, lightweight rifle. The carbines themselves used a small ring action and with lightning cuts on the sides of the receiver, bolt and trigger guard and a small diameter lightweight barrel. The stocks was correspondingly shorter and lighter with a sheet metal plate on the side of the stock to protect it from wear during use. The receiver is marked: \"945\/1940\" (the first wartime code for the Brno factory) over \"40\" (the year of manufacture) with the side wall marked \"G33\/40\". It has one of the rarer 3 piece stocks and all matching serial numbers on stock, bolt and action. In very good condition for a rifle of its age.
